The congress will take place in the Poppelsdorf Castle (Red A on map below) which hosts the Institute of Zoology. The castle is located at the end of the Poppelsdorf Alley (see the picture above the menu), and is only 10 min walk from the main railway station (Green B on map), the main bus station (Blue C on map) and the city center (north of B, C on map). Hotels are located in walking distance to the congress venue. For those who prefer to stay near the city there are regular busses commuting between the city and Poppelsdorf Castle.
How to get to the venue:
Catch a bus at the bus station just across the street at the NE side of the train station. Go to platform A and take either bus no. 601 (direction "Venusberg - Unikliniken", 602 (direction "Waldau) or 603 (direction "Röttgen"). Ticket prize 1.90 EUR (at the vending machines choose Preisstufe K (Kurzstrecke)). Exit at stop "Beringstraße" or at "Botanischer Garten". The Poppelsdorf castle is just across the street.
Walk to the Poppelsdorf castle from the city/train station. At the train station use the pedestrian underpass. Follow the signs to "Quantiusstraße". When you reach this street, turn left. After 100 m turn right into Poppelsdorf Alley. Walk up the alley underneath the chestnut trees towards the castle that you can see at the end of the alley.
